Hayden Heights has 4 full-time ELL teachers, including 1 bi-lingual Hmong teacher among them.
In addition, we have 2 full-time bilingual Educational Assistants - 1 speaks Hmong and the other speaks Spanish.
The ELL teachers collaborate with the classroom teachers at each grade level in order to make sure all ELL students are working toward the same high educational standards. It is an inclusive model which has the ELL teachers working closely with the students' classroom teachers on a day-to-day basis.
We also provide ELL services for kindergarten students, and for the pre-kindergarten (4 year-old) students, too. Our ELL teachers and bilingual EAs are constantly providing support for all teachers as we strive together to meet the needs of both the students and their families.
