Hayden Heights uses the Language Academy Model. The primary goal of the Language Academy Program is to help students learn academic English as quickly as possible to succeed in school and master academic subjects areas.
Our program consist of one ELL teacher per grade level. The ELL teacher and classroom teacher colaborate closely to make sure all students are working towards standards. It is an inclusive model where ELL teachers are in the classroom working with the classroom teacher to meet student's needs.
We also provide services for ELL students. In Kindergarten, we have the Kindergarten Language Development model (KLDM). We have bilingual EAs that help support the teachers to meet student needs.
